Algeria and Equatorial Guinea will be keen to secure their first victory in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament when they do battle in their next Group E clash at the Stade Omnisports de Douala in Japoma on Sunday evening.
Djamel Belmadi’s side got their Afcon title defence off to a slow start after they were held to a goalless draw by rivals Sierra Leone in their opening Group E encounter at the Japoma Stadium in Douala on Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Juan Micha’s men opened their Afcon Group E campaign with a defeat after they suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to rivals Ivory Coast at the Japoma Stadium in Douala on Wednesday night through a goal from Max-Alain Gradel.
