SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns will renew their rivalry when they face off in the Tshwane derby at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in the DStv Premiership on Versfeld Stadium on Saturday evening.

Matsatsantsa recorded their first win in four games on Wednesday evening as Bradley Grobler struck late to see United clinch a narrow 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC at the Danie Craven Stadium.


The Brazilians extended their unbeaten run this season to 14 games after they secured a 3-2 win over Royal AM at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday afternoon when a goal from Thabiso Kutumela and a brace by Peter Shalulile was enough to earn Sundowns maximum points at home.


Sundowns current holds a 10 point lead at the top of the DStv Premiership standings with 33 points after they won 10 games and drew four in 14 games so far this season.

Meanwhile, SuperSport climbed up to third position on the table, level on 22 points with Royal AM, Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC after they conceded four defeats, drawn four and won six games thus far.

When the two sides last met in the Tshwane derby, Mamelodi Sundowns conceded for the first time this season after SuperSport came from two goals down to earn a point following a 2-2 draw at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on 24 November.
