Barcelona have a mammoth task ahead of their as they travel to the Allianz Arena to face Bayern Munich in their final Champions League Group E clash on Wednesday evening.
Julian Nagelsmann’s Bayern side are already guaranteed to finish first in the group, while Xavier Hernández’s men are in a two-way battle with Benfica for a second-place finish in Group E.
Bayern had to fight hard for their victory over Dynamo Kiev in their penultimate clash after strikes from Kingsley Coman and Robert Lewandowski handed them a 2-1 win at NSK Olimpijs’kyj on 23 November.

In their previous game, Robert Lewandowski netted a brace as Bayern Munich opened up a four-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga with a 3-2 win at second-placed Borussia Dortmund in the Der Klassiker at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Barca were forced to share the spoils at the Nou Camp after playing out to a goalless draw against Benfica in Xavi’s first Champions League game in charge of La Blaugrana.
La Blaugrana conceded their first defeat under Xavi after they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Real Betis at the Nou Camp in the La Liga over the weekend as in-form striker Juanmi’s 79th-minute goal proved the difference.
When the two teams last tussled on the opening day of the Champions League, Bayern defeat Barcelona at the Nou Camp a goal from Thomas Müller and a brace by Robert Lewandowski saw the German side claim a 3-0 win on 14 September.
