Table toppers Chelsea will be hoping to return to winning ways when they travel to the King Power Stadium for a difficult Premier League encounter against a wounded Leicester City side on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers’ men are currently on a four game winless run in all competitions after they played out to a 1-1 draw with Leeds United at Elland Road on 7 November when Harvey Barnes cancelled out Rafinha’s 26th minute opener.
Thomas Tuchel’s charges came into this clash off the back of a eight game unbeaten run across all competitions following their 1-1 draw against Burnley in their last game before the international break.
The Foxes will be hoping to climb the table as they currently sit in 11th place in the league standings with 15 points, having won four, drawn three and conceded four defeats from 11 matches thus far.
Meanwhile, the Blues are aiming to stretch their lead at the summit of the table even further as they currently sit on 26 points after claiming eight wins, two draws and only one defeat in 11 games.
When Leicester and Chelsea last met on 18 May 2021, the Blues secured a crucial 2-1 victory over the Foxes at Stamford Bridge through second-half goals from Antonio Rudiger and Jorginho, while Kelechi Iheanacho’s 76th minute goal proved to be a consolation goal.
