Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates will be hoping to bounce back and return to winning ways when they do battle at Cape Town Stadium in the next DStv Premiership fixture on Saturday.
Erick Tinkler’s side will head into this game hoping for a win after playing out to a goalless draw against Swallows FC in their previous DStv Premiership clash at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto last weekend.
Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are a wounded side after they were defeated 2-0 at home by defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns courtesy of a brace by red-hot Peter Shalulile.
The Citizens are currently placed 11th in the DStv Premiership standings with five points after their recent draw, while the Sea Robbers dropped down to fifth place with eight points following their defeat to Sundowns.
When the two sides last met, Pirates walked away with all three points after running out 2-0 winners at the Orlando Stadium through two early first half goals from Vincent Pule and Deon Hotto on 9 February 2021.
Cape Town City: Surprise Rhulani
The 33-year-old is yet to fully find his form this season but has already managed to claim one assist in four league matches. Rhulani’s experience, pace and ability to create and score goals could give City the edge over Pirates.
Orlando Pirates: Deon Hotto
The Namibian international has already proven to be a reliable utility player for the Buccaneers, having operated in different positions on the field and having already netted one goal and assisted a further two in six appearances in all competitions. His ability t o give his teammates numbers and movement in attack could play a key role in defeating City and walk away with maximum points.
