The Dube Birds comes into this encounter off the back of a swallowing a 3-0 defeat to an in-form SuperSport United at home last Sunday following goals from Jamie Webber, Tebogo Mokoena and Thamsanqa Gabuza.
City, meanwhile, were on the wrong side of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Western Cape rivals Stellenbosch FC after Alan Robertson and a brace by Judas Moseamedi fired Stellies to victory at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.
When the two sides last squared off in the DStv Premiership they had to settle for a point apiece after playing out to a 1-1 draw at the Cape Town Stadium as Mduduzi Mdantsane’s penalty cancelled out Kgaogelo Sekgota’s 13th minute opener back in February this year.

Ruzaigh Gamildien was the standout performer for Swallows last term with a goal return of 11 goals from 26 appearances in all competitions, despite the club’s current form, Gamildien has already found the net on two occasions from six appearances and could play a influential role in helping the Dube Birds fly high against the Citizens.
In the opposition XI, all eyes will be on Mduduzi Mdantsane. The 26-year-old midfielder managed an impressive nine goals haul and amassed four assists in 31 games across all competitions last season and has continued his rich vein of form into this season, having already bagged two goals in five appearances for the Citizens.
He could played a pivotal role in helping City return to wining ways and snatching three points from the Dube Birds.
