The PSL is set to entertain local fans with Cape Town City, Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United all in action.
Chippa United vs Black Leopards – 3pm
Chippa must shrug off Nedbank Cup disappointment when they host Leopards. While the home side are unbeaten in their last three games, they remain 15th. A win would move them level with Celtic who are in 11th.
Leopards’ revival was blocked by Orlando Pirates, who beat them 3-0 and kept them six points off Chippa.
Maritzburg United vs Golden Arrows – 3pm
Maritzburg will be hoping to make home ground advantage count. They are just a single point above the relegation zone despite sitting in 13th. They also have a game in hand when Arrows visit.
Thabiso Kutumela could be the danger man for the home side, he has 11 goals this season. He has not scored in his last two outings, so Arrows’ defence best be ready.
Bloemfontein Celtic vs Cape Town City – 3pm
The home side have now gone five league matches without a win while City are without a win in two.
Celtic will be eager to secure a win and all but secure their place in the top-flight.
SuperSport United vs TTM – 5pm
Something must give when SuperSport United host TTM. The home side are now 10 league matches without a win as they prepare for the new Nedbank Cup champions. Fortunately for them, TTM have been poor on the road with just 10 points from their travels all season.
Kaizer Chiefs vs Swallows – 5pm
The visitors can move third and bolster their CAF Confederation Cup hopes with a win. The home side need a win to help their chances of finishing inside the top eight after a disappointing campaign.
“It is a special game, people will sit up and look at it. As much as Chiefs need a win, so do we,” said Swallows coach Brandon Truter said.
“With us, I wouldn’t say there is any special preparation but mental prep is more important for us at this stage. If you look at our amount of draws, we need the win just as much.
Kaizer Chiefs have bagged just a single win from their last seven outings in the Premiership.
