BETTING PREVIEW: PSG vs MANCHESTER CITY

Fresh off their League Cup win, Manchester City head to PSG for what is expected to be a thrilling Champions League semi-final.

The  Parc des Princes on Wednesday will be the battle ground as two of Europe’s biggest spending clubs attempt to gain an advantage and a place in the final of the biggest club competition in the world.

City’s preparation for this clash – they last reached the last four in 2016 – was a Cup final win over Spurs in a rather uninspiring manner.

PSG, on the other hand, enjoyed a  3-1 win over Metz in Ligue 1 but it came at a cost … star playmaker Kylain Mbappe limped off near the end of the match to cast his place in this fixture in doubt.

BET ON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

There has been some good news on the injury with Abdou Diallo joining Marquinhos in being likely to start against the Citizens. Rafinha is another player manager Mauricio Pochettino is likely to be able to recall to his plans if he so chooses.

For the manager in the opposition dugout, Pep Guardiola, who is also on the brink of yet another league title, Wednesday represents a major moment in his managerial career.

BET ON THIS MATCH

If he can’t get past PSG with his current squad, who are in blistering form, then serious questions will be raised of his ability to ever win this competition at the helm of Manchester City.

Kevin De Bruyne is fit and Guardiola can pick between recalling John Stones in central defence or utilising Aymeric Laporte once again.

If Mbappe is rushed back, then expect goals as was the case when PSG blasted Bayern Munich in the first leg of their contest.

Interestingly enough, City are tipped to win this contest in 90 minutes at 2.17-1 while PSG, who are at home don’t forget and who beat Bayern Munich to advance, are 3.01 to win in 90 minutes in leg one.

Suggested bet: Draw at half time at 2.33
