CAPE TOWN CITY FC SEAL BIG WIN

Cape Town City ended Golden Arrows unbeaten run and moved ahead of them on the table after a 4-2 victory on Sunday.
The home side scored first through Craig Martin but were a goal down with 40 minutes to play. Taariq Fielies turned in a fantastic header which set the Citizens on their path in search of a winner. The in-form Mdu Mdantsane did the business with 15 to play before Fagrie Lakay’s late chip over the goalkeeper sealed the memorable victory.
āI think it really helped bringing Mpho [Makola] in the second half. It allowed Craig Martin to be more offensive. The biggest quality we showed today was to be a team, and Iām very proud,” said coach Jan Olde Riekerink.
Elsewhere, Chiefs were held by Stellenbosch and Supersport United defeated Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandile 2-0 to join rivals Mamelodi Sundowns on 27 points.
City are now just five back and are the only side with back to back victories.
