Chelsea scored two late goals to ensure a 3-0 win over West Ham as the Blues moved up to fifth on the table.
Thiago Silva’s early opener looked to be the only goal of the game for a long time until Tammy Abraham netted a late brace.
The win broke up a run of two straight losses ahead of their Boxing Day visit to poor-performing London rivals Arseanl.
“The game was hard. We started really well but in the second half we didn’t get so much ball,” said Frank Lampard.
“The sub, (Mateo) Kovacic, got us on the ball more in that period of the game and you’re obviously delighted when you get that second and third goal. It wasn’t vintage tonight. I thought there were some good parts, but the main thing was the character coming on the back of two defeats.”
