There could be no better time for Gavin Hunt to get his Kaizer Chiefs side moving up the PSL table than with a win against Black Leopards.
It’s 13 vs 15 in the DSTV Premiership on Wednesday – the match was pushed back a day to allow Chiefs some rest after continental action on the weekend – when Amakhosi entertain Lidoda Duvha.
Chiefs are looking to stretch their dominance over Leopards; Amakhosi are undefeated in their last six league games against them – winning three and drawing three. Added to this, a win on Wednesday would be the fourth home win in a row.
A win for Chiefs will give the side some much needed confidence before Tuesday’s visit to the Lucas Moripe Stadium where they meet SuperSport United.
Confidence is what the squad needs after 5 league games have yielded just a win and five points. Leopards start with just two fewer.
“It’s never an easy game against Leopards,” said defender Daniel Cardoso.
“They have had a break over the weekend and that’s given them a bit more time to prepare to play against us.
“It’s not easy playing every three days. In terms of preparation for the game on Wednesday, we’ve had one of day recovery, two days at training so it’s not much training that we’ve put in.”
Before that key encounter, Chiefs must beat Black Leopards. The match kicks off at 7:30pm.
Suggested bet: Kaizer Chiefs to win at 1.56
