Real Madrid will be looking for a swift revenge over Shakhtar Donetsk after their 2-3 defeat in the opening game of the Champions League group stages.

Matches between these two sides have been traditionally high scoring encounters with 16 goals in their previous three matches at an average of 5.3 goals per game.

Real Madrid have a proud record in the Ukraine against Ukrainian opposition having only lost once in their seven visits. They are unbeaten since their 2-0 loss to Dynamo Kiev in 1999 over four fixtures.

Shakhtar’s bright start to the group stages has fizzled out as they have only managed one draw and two losses from their subsequent three fixtures.

This sees them losing ground to Group B leaders Monchengladbach who are on 8 points and Madrid who have pulled themselves into second in the group on 7 points.

Inter Milan prop up the table with 2 points from their opening four games in the group.

Suggested JengaBet: Real Madrid to win and over 3.5 goals at 2.37
