The lone fixture on Tuesday in the PSL pits two winless outfits against each other as Chippa United host Maritzburg United.
The visitors, under the now somewhat under fire Eric Tinkler, continue to struggle since the lockdown was lifted on the professional game.
Tinkler’s Team of Choice have two lost in a row as well as their MTN8 quarter-final at the out of sorts Kaizer Chiefs.
While they the managed to finish inside the top 8, they did so despite a dire run to conclude that campaign. It now leaves Maritzburg winless in nine and last winning against Polokwane back in March.
Chippa scrambled back against Cape Town City FC to earn a point in their league opener before losing to Chiefs.
Chilli Boys head coach Lehlohonolo Seema was full of confidence going into the Maritzburg match.
“We’ll have to go back and work again. I told them you win some games, you lose some games,” Seema said.
“This is one that we have lost. So I’m good. I’m happy. There are other guys coming back who will beef us up. But I am happy with the guys, their attitude and hard work. These boys, they work hard.
“I think losing 1-0 will give them an extra motivation. After four or five games, they will understand what is needed at this level. So I think there are a lot of positives we can take, especially the fighting spirit.”
Suggested bet: Chippa United to win 1-0 at 6.75
