Quinton De Kock made 23 as the Mumbai Indians moved back to the top of the IPL after beating the Rajasthan Royals.
De Kock was looking in fine form as he and Rohit Sharma went at 10 to the over before the South African departed with the score at 49/1.
That brought Suryakumar Yadav to the middle and he didn’t disappoint with a fine 79 off 47 as the Indians posted 193/4.
The Indians fearsome bowling unit – James Pattinson, Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah – was in no mood to allow the Royals into the contest.
Boult and Bumrah combined to reduce the Royals to 12/3 with De Kock picking up two of his three catches for the night. Eventually, the regular loss of wickets saw the Indians cruise to a 57 run victory and edge ahead of the Delhi Capitals on run rate.
Bumrah picked up 4/20 with Pattinson 2/19 in 3.1 overs to go with Boult’s 2/26.
