South African football will resume the 2019/20 season on Saturday, 8 August, it was announced on Monday.
The season will see 54 league matches as well as the Nedbank Cup semi-finals and final will be played before the official season conclusion on 5 September.
Officials confirmed the decision on Monday with games set to be played behind closed doors in Gauteng.
The first weekend of football will see the Nedbank Cup semi-finals played on 8 August with Mamelodi Sundowns v Bidvest Wits and Baroka v Bloemfontein Celtic.
Three days later the first PSL fixtures will take place on 11 August.
Cape Town City’s first match after the resumption of the season is expected to take place on 14 August although a full list of confirmed fixtures is yet to be released.
